My pain management doctor performed an L3-L4 intradiscal injection of study drug GDF-5. I am not sure if I can use epidural injection codes (62310-62319) or if I need to use an unlisted procedure code.
"The skin was infiltrated with 1% lidocaine and using one 22 guage 8 inch spinal needle through an 18 inch inducer, the L3-L4 disc was entered. After careful aspiration of some blood, the GDF-5 study drug was injected"
