Hi there. While researching this, I've come across conflicting information. There is no edit between 50543 and 76998-26, but I've seen some forums say that intraoperative ultrasound is included if used for tumor location? I think we should be able to bill it based on what I've found, but I wanted a second opinion. Thanks!
 
Hi- The key is in the documentation, when it's documented. I use this all the time.

From the CPT Code Book: "Ultrasound guidance procedures also require permanently recorded images of the site to be localized, as well as a documented description of the localization process, either separately or within the report of the procedure for which the guidance is utilized.
