Hi All,

This is Ravi i have a scenario that the patient was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis so the doctor will going to administer intravesical injection and the drug name is cystistat 0.8mg/ml (40mg).how to code this scenario, we are not billing unlisted codes here.Please help me with this the injection is though catheter .

Ravi,

Please post your op note so this can be coded accurately. I would also suggest that you post it in the urology sections where several coders with urology expertice will see it and can give their advice.
 
Intravesical injection

Actually we have only limited information - patient was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis and bladder neck obstruction and the doctor has given the administer intravesical injection and the drug name is cystistat 0.8mg/ml (40mg).This is the information i have it.
