I have an encounter where the pt came to the ER and was intubated upon arrival. Later in the encounter the pt was then reintubated with a different size tube after issues arose. Is it possible to charge for 2 intubation procedures? Initially pt was given rocuronium 50 mg IO and an 8.0 ET-tube was placed to 23 cm with good oxygenation and bilateral breath sounds.* Sometime thereafter, his oxygen started to fall.* He may have been moved and the ET-tube displaced and the initial tube was removed completely and* pt was reintubated with a 7.5 ET-tube.
