Does anyone know of any guidelines for billing and documentation for a PA doing infusion therapies and where they can be found? We have some internal medicine docs that are wanting their PA to start doing infusion therapies, such as Boniva.
 
PAs, and nurses for that matter, are able to do the infusion services. Of course nurses need to have Provider supervision but the PAs can bill as your docs do. However, you may want to review your local Medicare Carrier and State Guidelines. Hope this is helpful! -D
