UHC and Humana are now denying 74300-26 for the intraoperative cholangiogram when coded with 47563(lap chole). This is new. Anyone else experiencing this?

74300 is for radiologists only for the supervision and interpretation - Coder's Desk Reference for Procedures-are you coding for the surgeon only - if so, you cannot code this procedure

If You are coding for the surgeon CPT code 47563 include
cholangiography

thank you for the replies. I thought there was a time when the surgeon did get reimbursed. I have been in on the surgery firsthand and observed the surgeon personally interpretting the cholangiogram. Also, Medicare has reimbursed us for this coding, thus my confusion.
