There has been some debate in my office - my MD wants me to bill out additional charges for an insertion of a Foley Bulb to help ripen the cervix after induction of labor. Acording to all the info I can find this is bundled into the global fee for the delivery. I know I can bill for insertion of a cervical dilator prior to the day of delivery BUT in this case it was AFTER induction and it was a foley cath.......Can someone please advise?
