Hello All,
Please help settle a matter of contention here in our office. We have a surgery which was started on 4/20 at 1130 pm and on 4/21 ended at 130am. The hospital began the patient's admit stay on 4/21. My surgeon, a hospital employee, dictated the surgery with DOS 4/20. My dilemma is this is a neuro surgery and can only be reported as IP. However, the admit dates don't match? The hospital won't change the admit date because the order for the admit from ED/trauma states 4/21/15.
