A question about the visual acuity screen as a component of a "welcome to Medicare" IPPE G0402.

A visual acuity screen is required. If a provider charted something to the effect of, "the visual acuity examination was deferred as the patient is scheduled for a complete ophthalmologic exam with their established ophthalmologic provider in 1 week."

Will this pass muster for a Medicare IPPE?

If the provider misses the visual acuity screen at the time of the appointment are we able to ask the patient to come back in and and complete that and amend all documentation?
