If you are coding a blunt force trauma of the abdomen, where the abdomen was left open from previous perforation repair of the ascending and transverse colon, and now they are just going in to explore perforation repair and irrigate with saline the abdominal cavity, does the exploration code include the irrigation? I can't find a procedure code for an open irrigation of the abdomen, only percutaneous. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
