Sorry that the title does not match the question; I cannot find a way to edit the title!

I read something strange on Aetna's website regarding compliance requirements for providers on the Medicare Advantage program. In short, it said that (1) All practice employees who deal with Medicare claims are required by CMS to complete fraud, waste, and abuse, plus general compliance training, annually, but (2) if you are a Medicare participating provider, you are exempt from this requirement, however (3) you have to retain "proof" that you are exempt!

This sounds weird and contradictory to me. Is anyone able to explain this???
