86 yr old white woman with ovarian cancer, carcinomatosis malignant ascites, recurrent SBO. Admitted with pain, bloating, nausea/vomiting. Patient and family request comfort care. 30 minutes discussion/counseling - no surgical intervention is appropriate. Please reconsult if needed.

physician is a general surgeon - inpatient hospital

I don't see CC. She is certainly very sick with some symptoms. But comfort care is not Critical Care. No interventions. This looks like a potentially time based visit to me, but not CC.
