Dear Coders,
Pl help me with this query.

Physician Order:
1. On 20/05/2010, IV FLUIDS 1/2 N/S + 5% D/W under the Infusion time of 30ml/H to add KCL 20 mEq/L.

2. On 21/05/2010, 5% D in 0.45% NS under the infusion time of 15ml/H to add KCL mEq/L.

3 On 23/05/2010, 5%D + 0.45% NS 10 ml/H to add KCL 20 mEq/L.

How do we code this?
What are the basic guidelines for IV infusion and Nebulization? Is there any links available for the same? Pl throw light on this issue.
 
Can not code based on orders. Coding is based on documentation that the IV service was provided. Usually documented by the nurse

Each day is coded separately. Can not lump each day's services all together. So you will separately code for what IV was done on each of the 3 days

I am unable to suggest codes on what you have provided. Must have the drip start-stop time in order to code for that day. I don't really care about the rate

Can you provide more info of what was actually done
start-stop drip time
type of fluid
what kind of bags
what drugs, if any and how adminitered
