I am a little confused by the coding rules for IV push meds given in addition to IV infusions. Here is the scenario:

Patient comes in for IV infusion of Actemra (we are a rheumatology practice) and we give an IV push of Solumedrol prior to the actual infusion. Am I correct that I would report code 96374 for the push in addition to the code for the actual infusion, or is the IV push bundled into the actual infusion service even though it was administered prior to the start of the infusion?

Any help appreciated?
