Is an IV start simply coded 36000 and in this case they used ultrasound guidance 76942? I always second guess the easier stuff! 2 of the reports mention micropuncture catheter, do I bill that also? Thank you
 
IV Starts

My standard codes for PIV w/ US guide are 36000 and 76937 (the US code of course dependent on permanent imaging obtained and documented).
