Hello!

Can anyone give me some information on coding IV's, IVP, and hydrations in ED or a website?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you!

IVs etc

Vicki,

If you google or whatever search engine you like Infusion/hydration/injection coding, you should find quite a few seminars by consultants as well as payors that hit I think in 2008-9 when the codes changed. Some are better then others, but there are quite a few out there in the ether.

IV Help needed as well

I code for an urgent care center. We have a disagreement on how to code something as below:

Patient came in for kidney stone.

IV Saline lock @ 10:34am, Toradol IVP 30 mg @ 10:36am, Discontinue IV @ 12:42pm.

Would appreciate any help. We have looked at all of the search engine websites and we still argue over the correct way.

Thanks! :)
