I have a practioner who is still billing with J1095 for the INJ DEXAMETHASONE ACETATE PER 8MG. Can someone please let me know if the J1100 is the correct code we should be using?

J1094 Injection, dexamethasone acetate, 1 mg;
J1100 Injection, dexamethasone sodium phosphate, 1mg;

2006 HCPCS J1095 Injection, dexamethasone acetate, per 8 mg
◦Added on Monday, January 01, 1996
◦Terminated on Tuesday, December 31, 2002: do not use.

Not sure the difference in the acetate/sodium phosphate but the wording is most similar to J1094 but just 1mg vs. 8mg

Bill J1094 with the appropriate units??

Can anyone else help validate this?

Thanks!
