A test done at home was just given EUA and some states are paying for the tests but they will be billing insurance if the patient has it. These would be surveillance - not actually ordered by doctor - no order needed. It falls in the 87635 description because of the technique, but that code was established before these at home tests were close to being available. Anyone know if there is/will be a code to cover these tests? -- I've already checked the Google machine, CMS, AMA and can't find anything. I have messages out to the company and AMA, I'll report back if I hear anything. Meanwhile - HELP thanks :)
