Good morning. If our provider reports Kenalog intralesional given at 2 separate sites same mg same volume, do you combine the two and report a total? Our provider is reporting the same dosage on 2 separate lines. If different dosage on 2 separate sites you would report two different lines? Correct? Thank you. :) I have myself confused. :(

this is not my expertise, but a little research shows me that there are only 2 codes for intralesional injections:

11900 - injection, intralesional; up to and including 7 lesions
11901 - injection, intralesional; more than 7 lesions

therefore, I believe that since one CPT code is being used for the administration for both lesions, I would report the Kenalog (J3301) one time with the total number of units that were injected.
