The provider only submitted 11423. I'm looking for a CPT code for the injection of Kenalog. I would use 11901 if it were lesions.
Injectable anesthesia of Xylocaine 1% containing epinephrine 1/100,000 was used in the right mastoid area surrounding the BAHA implant. At that moment the excess granulation tissue and scar covering the implant itself were excised out successfully and completely for a total dimension of 2.5 cm. Hemostasis was achieved successfully with low wattage bipolar cautery.
At that moment injectable Kenalog 40 mg was applied at different sites of the surgical intervention in order to help avoiding further scar development.
At that moment, a piece of Xeroform was applied as a sleeve surrounding the Baha implant and the Baha Was then applied in place successfully.
