help!!

i was wondering...does anyone know if the hardware/wire removal is bundled with the actual surgical procedure performed(knee)?

< procedures performed:
1. left knee hardware removal x2
2. left knee figure-of-eight wire removal x3
3. fluoroscopic use
4. left long leg splinting


i have a pt that had a knee reduction and fixation(surgery performed) but now returned to OR b/c there was irritation w/the implant...so the doctor had to remove it....the doctor that performed the removal is not the same doctor that performed the open reduction and internal fixation.

should i just be coding for the splint?:confused:

Look at 20670 or 20680

Without the documentation I can't tell for certain what was done ... but look at 20670 and 20680.
