Physician sees patient in L&D at the hospital for possible ruptured membranes. A Fern Test is performed (not sure if by Physician or Nurse). Can this be coded in additon to the Physician's E/M visit on the same day at the same encounter? I know the Physician has to actually perform the test to code it (Q0114). Is there another lab code (80000 range) for this test?
