I am wondering if anyone knows if there are codes that can take the place of L8689. Forward Health covers neither L8689: External recharging system for battery (internal) for use with implantable neurostimulator, replacement only nor L8695: External recharging system for battery (external) for use with implantable neurostimulator, replacement only.
If neither of these codes are being covered, what codes can be used, if any, to take its place? Because, otherwise, a patient would have to have the stimulator removed and a new one placed. Any additional information would be great.
