We are an FQHC tribal health clinic. We have a few patients with PCP in our clinic who also see providers outside of our practice. Example kidney specialist, cardiology etc.. These providers on occasion will order a lab to be drawn or testing completed through our lab. These providers are not credentialed to provide services at our clinic. Sometimes there is a referral from one of our providers but typically not. If we have the patient's primary provider review the lab that was ordered and sign off on it, are we able to bill these labs?

Yes, if the provider in your clinic agrees with reasoning behind the labs being ordered, and you run the labs, yes, you can bill it. But I would also check with the laws and regulations for the FQHC.
