I'm not sure if we should be using an observation code or a 99212-99215 code for the fallowing circumstance.

Patient comes into the emergency room thinking she is in labor, an NST is done and it is determined she isn't in labor, she is sent home and doesn't deliver untill 3 days later.

would we code an observation code or 99212-99215?
