patient came to office for labor check and was sent to our observation unit for nst. she is laboring and was given the option to labor at home and return when she has a more active labor pattern or stay in the hospital and labor there, she then was admitted a few hours later, hasn't delivered yet and that was yesterday. Is that initial office visit when she came in for the labor check chargeable or is that included in global since she was also admitted the same day?

I would say it is included as she was found to be in labor.
