I have an ED encounter that both the APP and MD saw jointly. The patient had lacerations on two different fingers.

The MD repaired one finger and the APP repaired the other. What modifier would I use to show this to MCR?

Thank you for your assistance.

Sorry for the dumb question but what is an APP? Maybe a misspelling on APNP? Some other sort of midlevel practitioner?

"Advanced Practice Provider" aka "Midlevel provider" (apparently it's not a favorable reference anymore. Who knew?)

Sounds like a standard incident-to situation. I'm sure it happens every day in the ER. Switch off and have a PA/NP do a less complicated repair to free up the physician to handle other cases.
