Hi,
Some of our practitioners (MD,CM,NP etc) are newly credentialed to provide lactation counseling. The codes we have been told to use are S9445 for individual sessions S9446 for group sessions. My question is, what documentation is needed to support these sessions? I have found the NYS Medicaid policy and billing guidance page on this subject, but it doesn't indicate anything other than what I have noted above. Does anyone have any experience billing these services out?
Any help or guidance is appreciated.
