Hi!
Physician performed a reduction of fracture at C6-C7 which I coded 22326 also a laminectomy w/foraminotomy was performed at same level C6-C7.
I didn't code 63045 since decompression is included in the reduction code. (have coding alert in reference to this)
Physician feels we can bill 63045 since it was a lamin/w foraminotomy.
Would appreciate your guidance

The information I have from the 2013 AANS conference is as follows:
'An open treatment code (22325-22328) includes a laminectomy/discetomy so a decompression code is not separately reported.'

Hope that helps.
