laparoscopic total extraperitoneal right inguinal hernia repair converted to open rt inquinal hernia repair.

I thought when lap was discontinued and open repair is being performed it should be coded as open repair. Am I correct?
 
Yes, that is correct. I always add V64.41 as the secondary Dx.
