How would you code Anxiety Disorder due to Mitral Valve Prolapse for a pt that had a valve replacement 7 yrs ago.

I'm not sure how to use the late effect codes - Are these only for injuries? What type of injuries?

Any help would be great appreciated, Thanks!

If you go to late effects it tells you to see also Conditions. We code late effects for CVA's complications of surgical and medical care, varius diseases such as TB and polio,etc. Grab your ICD 9 and take a look.
