Our patient was transferred from IH to Transitional Care/ Rehab, POS 61, where the dr saw her for the first time, then followed up another day. This was not a SNF, but a separate unit within the walls of the hospital. I'm looking for the correct E&M code.
POS 61 is for "a facility that provides...rehab svcs...to in-pts". It appears to me that 99221, 99231 would be appropriate. Thanks for you input.
