not sure if I should allow 2 unit or do I need to use L and R -
One of my providers has used modifier 50 for a bilateral ligation which is not an appropriate modifier - her supporting documentation is as follows.
with extensive retroperitoneal fibrosis requiring bilateral ureterolysis and resection of bilateral parametrium with ligation of the each uterine artery at it's origin from the internal iliac artery.
