For the 93308, if the physician interps a complete echo 93307, would I still use the 93308 if he states it is a follow-up study. In the past if the interp stated follow-up study, I would code the 93308;however, today I had one that stated follow-up but the physician did the complete 93307(no doppler or color flow). After reading the guidelines in CPT I went with the 93307.

Any back up documentation or clarification would be appreciated.
