EGD with biopsy, pathology states Lipomatosis. E882 would seem more specific, an accumulation of fat tumors. E6601 obesity is an overall excess weight but there is an excludes 1 note that states E6601 should not be used with E882. Since this patient still has a BMI of 52 and is bariatric surgery status. Which code would be a better fit?

I would suggest, we can give preference to biopsy results which is Lipomatosis E88.2 & additional we can code Gastric Bypass status (Z98.84).
