My GI doctor starts doing liver biopsy in our office now. Should I use cpt 47000 or 47001? can someone tell me? Thanks.

If the liver biopsy is the only procedure, 47000 is for a percutaneous biopsy done with a hollow bore needle. You would code any imaging guidance in addition to this. 47001 is an add-on code only for use if this biopsy is done in addition to another procedure. If it is a fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy rather than a core biopsy, then you would use the codes from the 10004-10021 range instead.
