I am coding a Liver transplant and the surgeon performed a Portal Vein thrombectomy and I am unsure if this is bundled in the transplant code 44135 or if it can be billed as a separate procedure. If it can be billed separately I am uncertain what code to use for the thrombectomy and would like some feedback on how to bill for that preocedure if it can be billed.
