I have a physician that
1- wants to bill as a Locum Tenens on a permanent basis (with breaks between 60 days) for a physician because they "fill in" for each other.
2- wants to bill as a Locum Tenens for another physician until his credentialing is done.
Can anyone please tell me where I can find documentation regarding this? I keep telling him no, that you can't bill Locum Tenens for this but he is stating that I HAVE to do this and it's perfectly acceptable if the Locum has his own malpractice insurance.
