The cardiologist I work for is going to be using a locum tenens for the first time in July. I know that we will have to bill for Medicare services with a Q6 modifier and we will have to keep a file of all the services the locum tenens provides. Is there anything else that I need to be aware of before we start utilizing his services? Has anyone had any issues in getting paid by commercial insurance carriers for locum tenens?
