We have a patient who has medicaid. She was admitted in Feb. 2010 and is still admitted due to problems with dialysis and her having a trach tube. She has long since run out of her 16 inpatient visits. Does anyone have any ideas on what we can do to get paid for the other 349 days we have seen her??? The hospital said they are billing under "PEC" bed status, but I can't find any information on this. Any input is greatly appreciated!!
