I recently graduated (December 2011) from Wichita Technical Institute in Joplin, Missouri, after taking their medical billing and coding course as well as passing the 5-hour certification test the first time. I am now certified as a CPC-A. I am also a medical transcriptionist of 15 years experience.
I would like to find a job working in medical records or working as a medical receptionist in the front office as I thoroughly enjoy working with people. I also enjoy looking up the codes for diagnoses and doing research.
I am generally trained to work in an office, but not specifically because all offices are different. Through my training with WTI, I have knowledge and some experience working with electronic medical records.
