Hey there. We are looking for help obtaining information regarding whether or not a licensed professional counselor (LPC) who provides psychotherapy services to a Medicare patient under the plan/direct supervision of either a MD or NP can bill using the NPI of the supervising provider. In this case, the LPC is working in a private practice (POS 11) and is licensed in the state (Georgia) to provide psychotherapy. We also assume all of the incident to requirements are met (i.e., direct supervision, etc.). Any information (especially siting source) would be fantastic. Thanks in advance.
