Good Morning All,

I need some clarification on LTACH coding

When coding a post-op complication, does the complication code always need to be sequenced as the PDX?

For example, In a scenario such as the one below, can B020 be sequenced as the PDX providing they both meet the definition of principal diagnosis?

Sepsis following a procedure T8149XA, T8144XA with B020
