Our GI Physician went to see a Medicare patient at their LTC facility to follow-up on a G-tube replacement. I am not sure which E&M code to use for a follow-up visit.
99307 (subsequent nursing facility visit) would fit, but everything I can find indicates only one visit per day is allowed, and doesn't tell me if this encompasses ALL providers, or just ours. I also wonder if those codes are only supposed to be used for the federally mandated visits for LTC residents. We are in Indiana. Thanks!
