CPT 38500 vs 38999 or ?

Patient underwent an excision of a melanoma on the leg and a lymph node(s) biopsy in the groin AFTER isosulfan blue was injected into the previous biopsy site on the leg. How would this be coded?

Surgeon coded 38500, hospital coded 38999 and insurance denied payment to hospital as code did not match surgeons.
