Lysis of rectal adhesions

Our provider was called in to perform Laparscopic Lysis of Rectal Adhesions during an OBGYN surgery, in which the OBGYN performed Laparscopic Lysis of Pelvic Adhesions. Our provider stated that these were two seperate procedures and that they did not assist each other in either procedure. What is the opinion on the CPT code for Laparscopic Lysis of Rectal Adhesions and is a modifier needed.

Thank You
Vicky

What code is being used for the pelvic adhesions? Has/Is your provider participating in any pre- and/or post-op care?

And, out of curiosity, why was your provider called in if it wasn't to assist? Was there a reason the original provider couldn't do everything?
