Wiki Makoplasty LOS

Hi - I have been asked by our orthopods if there is a problem with admitting and discharging patients with Makoplasty procedures (either knee or hip) only 1 day after surgery. Not from a quality of care standpoint but strictly from a billing standpoint. Other than possibly the two-midnight rule, I can't think of any billing issues, but for those who code or bill these regularly, can you think of any that I should let the docs be aware of?

In NC, according to MCR, they must be either OP or OBS. Commercials are still OK with being IP for now.
