I work for a group of 5 surgeons and our practice seems to be growing by leaps and bounds and our staff is spread too thin. We have a practice manager and I am the assistant manager as well as E&M and office procedure coder. I'd like to know how other practices divide up the managerial responsibilities if you have more than one manager. Also, who in your practice handles meaningful use and credentialing.

Also, if you have more than one coder, how do you divide up the coding work? We currently split the work by location but some suggestions here have been by payor, by physician, or by alphabet.
