Does anyone know if employers are required by law to provide ICD-10 training to their employees? Or is it up to the employer if they want to.

I haven't seen anything about a law regarding this. But considering employers are not even required to hire certified coders, I really doubt they would be required to provide training. Just my $0.02

There is no law regarding this. Employers could ask their coders to seek out and pay for their own training, or not even monitor it at all, but at their loss. As a supervisor, I have provided training to my employees, as I hope most would so that they can properly do their jobs. I know it is definitely not mandatory for an employer to pay for the training. Alot of it has fallen on coders shoulders in smaller practices.
