Wiki mass in chest/neoplasm code??

Hi! When I am coding for our hospitalists and they state "right lung mass" (based on a chest x-ray) should we use neoplasm, uncertain behavior 239.1??

The doctors seem to keep using 786.6 - swelling, mass or lump in chest.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!:)
 
Hi,

Mass chest -786.6(swelling, mass or lump in chest), this is the direct code, some payers wants 239.X series.
We are also following the code 786.6 only.
